We are seeking a dependable, motivated Production Cook to join our food production team. We manufacture fresh, high-quality food products in a fast-paced production environment. If you take pride in preparing quality food while following strict food safety standards, we'd like to meet you.
Position Summary:
The Production Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, portioning, and packaging food products according to standardized recipes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous cooking or food production experience preferred
- Valid Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Food Handler Safety Training Card
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, and food safety procedures
Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience in commercial kitchens, food manufacturing, or high-volume restaurant production
- Knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and sanitation procedures
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes
- Follow daily production schedules and batch sheets
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately
- Maintain product quality and consistency
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Properly label, package, and store finished products
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation at the end of each shift
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
